ISO 9001 accreditation processes with recognition of national best practice for governance and quality improvement processes.
Achieved savings plan through system and service reform £2.2m in 15 weeks.
Led the arrangements to divert 400 patients per month from 1 A&E and working with others to divert admissions and integrated ambulance and primary care in the Trust.
Won 2 national awards for the management of frequent callers and for end of life care innovations with an annual saving of £4m.
Development and implementation of a clinical risk, standards and policy approach linked to Health and Safety which exceeds the standard and requirements of Care Quality Commission (CQC) and ISO9001 evidence requirements. Recognised by ISO assessors as national Best Practice. This has been used as a review and action plan by 4 organisations including an overseas charity.
Recognised by the CQC as the developer of a Best Practice Approach for the delivery of the Hygiene code 2008 Essential Standards. This was then adopted by the Scottish Environmental Directorate (CQC equivalent) and DFER for benchmarking their standards and measurement of evidence.
Delivered National IT Technical Links project for 10 PCTs and EAS that was 12 weeks behind target to deliver project 2 weeks ahead of target. This ensured seamless transfer of patient information from call handling through to outcome information to GPs for the Out of Hours, Clinical support desk and other related services.
Led the process of redesign and modernisation in ophthalmology that has improved team working and morale and enabled an additional 300+ operations to be done in 10 weeks to hit targets. This was part of 1 of 3 Pursuing Perfection Projects I led in the Trust (others being Radiology and reducing the Standard Mortality rate as one of 6 national teams). International recognition at the IHI conference in Copenhagen.
Facilitation of change in various agencies to agree and implement a joint strategy and plan to deliver a savings plan of £3m and capital investment and changes to services in a co-ordinated way in the range of £30m within Strategic Business Cases.
